Benchtop water purifier to remove sediment, chemicals, taste and odour issues, giardia and Cryptosporidium cysts as well as removing bacteria and E coli.
We use the Doulton Super Sterasyl cartridges from England as we find this is a great cartridge for most situations. The cartridge uses a combination of activated carbon to purify the water and ceramics filtering down to 0.2 microns to provide safe drinking water in rural situations.
Being a fine filter, it does require reasonable water pressure to operate so will not have good water flows on low pressure gravity feed supply. Will work well with water pumps.
The cartridge is cleanable, so as flow reduces simply scrub the outer layer of the cartridge with a stiff brush or sandpaper to remove the collected sediment, rinse off and reuse.
Comes standard with a chrome diverter valve which connects to most mixer taps for convenient switching between filters and non filtered water by simply turning a lever.
