The PureZone Complete under sink kit is the ideal budget system and includes a Platinum style tap, 60 mm (2.5 inch) Granulated Activated carbon slimline cartridge which is bigger than other similar Sapphire branded systems, to remove Chlorine, chemicals, taste and odour , Dirt, Sediment, Rust , Algae , Asbestos & PCB’s from plastic pipes. The filter pad removes material down to 1 microns so will remove Giardia or Cryptosporidium cysts.
The DIY kit includes fittings to attach to either copper or plastic pipe as well as a SV5 valve to connect to half inch threads such as those used with common kitchen flexi hoses. The cartridge measures 62 mm diametre x 280 mm long so takes up very little space. Cartridge should be replaced annually under normal use at only $70.00. That’s less than 20 cents per day!!
