10 inch Cation exchange to stop scale forming when water is cooled or heated.
Used with commercial ovens with steam wash and can be used along side activated carbon cartridges to improve taste and chemicals with coffee machines.
Rated at 7500 ppm cation reduction. Can be regenerated using salt but more commonly replaced after capacity has been reached. Divide 7500 by known Hardness to determine litres of cartridge life.
Fits in any standard 10 inch filter casing – measures 245 x 65 mm
Does not remove chlorine so if required needs to be used next to a carbon cartridge.
A Carbon cartridge fitted before the Softening cartridge will also improve performance and life of the softening resin.
Normally replaced 6 monthly
