Matrikx® CTO®Plus filters, powered by GreenBlock®, are made from 100% coconut shell carbon, a renewable, and ecologically sustainable material.
The carbon is processed into blocks using a unique binder system and proprietary manufacturing techniques to produce filters with a greater number of micro-pores and available carbon surface area, which display superior adsorption capacity to standard carbon block cartridges.
While giving a greater total pore surface area and higher capacity, the cartridge also allows better movement of water flow through the cartridge, so is our preferred cartridge for In Line systems feeding the main kitchen tap or systems on low water pressure.
The Matrikx CTO Plus is the only cartridge actually rated for chloroform reduction and is rated to 7600 litres reduction while chlorine reduction is rated to a massive 114,000 litres.
The filter cartridge is also certified by the Water Quality Association to WQA/ASPE/ANSI S-803 for sustainability and is also one of only a few cartridges compliant with the strict Proposition 65 requirements for California.
